Increase productivity and employee morale within the workspace
Workplace seating has transformed from ordinary chairs to ergonomic seating. In recent times, we have seen the shift from static seating, where the sitting is rigid and causes bodily strain resulting in health issues, to a more interactive and flexible style of seating which allows the user pliability.
Successful organisations are increasing competitive advantage and lowering costs through workplace transformation. This approach helps to increase productivity, employee morale and boosts interaction within the workspace, thereby creating a more collaborative environment. Not only is this great for employees, but it is also beneficial for business owners as it lowers business costs by creating workspaces that are functional and more efficient.
Workplace transformation occurs when technology and human interactions are leveraged to create fun, flexible, collaborative environments that foster innovation and enable a variety of work styles.
The Keyn Chair Group, the latest creation by London-based design firm forpeople for Herman Miller, is a chair that enables workspace transformation by offering responsive movement and immediate comfort for collaborative spaces.
Following research that showed that people continuously shift in their seats, leaning forward or stretching back, typically up to 57 times per hour, the designers knew that they needed to create a chair that responded to movement. People expect movement in their task chair, so it made perfect sense that a chair for collaborative spaces should support and respond to those movements too.
The Keyn Chair Group is a range of meeting and side chairs that provides instant-seated comfort through its sculpted one-piece shell design. The range is now available in South Africa. Visit our showrooms in Johannesburg and Cape Town to experience this new seating solution.
Included in the design of the Keyn Chair Group is Herman Miller’s unique CradleFlex system, which responds to shifts in posture. The back reclines smoothly up to 10 degrees, while simultaneously moving the seat forward.
The Keyn Chair Group’s three base styles include a four-leg, cantilever and four-star base, with a painted, trivalent chrome or polished aluminium finish. The seat shell is available in graphite, studio white or black. A choice of five reverse contrast colours can be specified independently on fully and semi-upholstered chairs. With these options, plus an almost infinite range of colours, materials and finishes from which to choose, the Keyn Chair Group offers versatility with a consistent aesthetic, united with responsive comfort, to meet the needs of any workplace.
